About Fulya Gemici

Having worked as a textile and fashion designer since 2005, Fulya Gemici has years of professional working experience in the fashion industry – most of which involved working closely with design teams of worldwide renowned fashion retailers.

With a formal education in fashion from a prestigious school in one of the most important fashion capitals of the world –Milan, Italy – she possesses a good combination of creativity, fashion knowledge, style, and an understanding of fashion as a business. As a multi-product womenswear designer, she designed lines for both high street and luxury fashion brands.

She has excellent communication skills in English and Italian, excellent fittings knowledge, understanding of woven, jersey and garment construction. She has obtained the ability to understand customer needs by making successful market analysis and is experienced in liaising with suppliers to brief in fabric sourcing and design packs face to face. She has excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator with which she draws well appraised sketches, illustrations and is very passionate for print design in particular.

She has also established her own luxury fashion scarves brand – Marissimi, in 2014, its products have been sold by selective luxury boutiques.
